Yesterday in Iceland there was a total solar eclipse.... and it was cloudy and rainy in places, despite being a glorious blue sky day on Monday... that's Icelandic weather for you.
The Icelandic for eclipse is sólmyrk ('sun dark') - the derivation is obvious: the word Sól links with 'Solar' and murky.
There were LOTS of visitors.
Here's a review of the eclipse day from RUV. Plenty of interesting images and updates... might make a useful tourism case study. I've not seen a similar one...
