Another new geothermal option is opening soon... in September.

Reykjaböð is a new natural lagoon and spa that will open in September 2026 at the foot of Reykjadalur in Hveragerði. Here, natural hot springs, bathhouses and Icelandic nature meet in an experience where you can slow down, enjoy the moment and feel the power of alternating rituals between heat and cold, whether you visit us on a bright summer evening or under the dancing northern lights.
There is a restaurant on site too called réttir, which is the name of the annual gathering of sheep - there is a pen for that purpose just across the stream from the car park... the same area as the zip line down over the valley ends...
There is also accommodation nearby....
