On my recent trip to Iceland, I visited the lavas at Natthagi.
These were the result of the 2021 eruption up in Geldingadalur - the Fagraadasfjall eruption as it became known.

Thick snow and waterlogged ground meant that we had to park at the start of the first parking area.
There was a steep incline we had to get up with the help of our coach driver, who then had to turn round in a tight area.
We walked along the usual route, avoiding the deeper bits of snow, and then up and over the col, following the signage - it's easy enough to get to the lavas for those who haven't been there before. The parking areas are clearly defined and the signage is clear too.
Here's a few images from my friend Claire, who took a helicopter flight over the eruption
