The England women's football team, know as the Lionesses were in Iceland recently to play a qualifying match against the national team.
They won 1-0.
The match was played at Laugardalsvöllur.

I could actually see the floodlights of the stadium from my hotel room when I visited and stayed in Reykjavik at the start of the month.
