Grindavík - a community that survives - and thrives

A week or more ago, I read a BBC account on the town of Grindavík, which was described as a ghost town.

The community of Grindavík were not impressed with the reporting according to this Iceland Monitor piece.

“This is disgustingly wrong. Grindavík is not buried under lava. People live and work there. It’s a town, not a tourist attraction,” one Facebook user wrote.
