Fireworks are being let off today in the UK (although lockdown means quite a few bonfire parties had to happen over the last few days as people aren't allowed in each other's private gardens).
The Icelanders don't do Bonfire Night on the 5th of November. But they do have lots of them on New Year's Eve as this map shows:

Sales of fireworks help to fund the Icelandic Search and Rescue teams. A lot of its annual income comes from this source.
