Just over a decade ago, the population of Iceland was 320 000 - it is now approaching 400 000.
This is a dramatic increase in percentage terms (and actual terms). A 20% increase since 2008.
A lot of it is driven by migration, with a great many of the people that the average tourist encounters on their visit being migrant workers rather than 'locals'.
This article suggests the figure may be a while off yet though.....
And the Hamburger Factory's total is a bit short of that at the moment.
