I've had this book for a while, although it was out on loan to a friend for quite a while. It's written by Kari Gislason, and is a retelling of some of the most famous Norse Myths. It's also the story of a friendship and family history, as well as the cultural landscape of Iceland.
It's a chunky book which starts with a retelling of some early elements of the Norse mythology. There is a travelogue as the two authors travel to Iceland to uncover the story of Kári's family history.
More to come...
