Fridheimar

Fridheimar is also known as the "tomato farm" or greenhouse.

It is not usually on the itinerary for school groups, but would be a good visit for smaller groups.

It uses geothermal heat to grow tomatoes.

These are then turned into food in the cafe, with a range of food including tomato ice cream.

Friends have visited and say that the tomato soup is the best they've ever tasted.

The farm is up in Reykholt, near to Laugarvatn. Not too far from the Golden Circle attractions.
