I've shared links to Sophie Carr's photography previously on the blog. She describes herself as an Icelandophile.
She is currently in Iceland, and has been sharing pictures throughout her time staying there and travelling around some areas which go beyond the usual SW itineraries of visitors. Plenty of wonderful images and inspiration here.
Thanks to the newly-opened Dýrafjarðargöng tunnel I was able to visit Dynjandi today - the most impressive waterfall in the Westfjords of #Iceland. Previously this was cut off for pretty much the whole of the winter and spring. Of course I had it all to myself 😊 pic.twitter.com/2RVh0de18H

Today I drove 146km, across 4 mountain passes/heaths, to get to a place 24km (as the raven flies) from where I started! This is the view from Bíldudalur across the fjord as it got dark (taken at 4.20pm). #Iceland pic.twitter.com/2YD9B4GIkA
