While we are in Christmas gift mode at the moment, it might be worth reminding you of the book pictured below.
Andri Snaer Magnason wrote the book which was published earlier in the year and I blogged about it at the time. It's called "
On Time and Water".
It would make good Christmas reading, although we are unlikely to have a White Christmas
(and they are going to become a thing of the past and folk memory)This explores the impact of glacier loss on Iceland's psyche, with a 'deep time' approach.
This blog here brings you up to date with what he has been up to, including some lectures in Reykjavik.
There's also a Podcast here, where the author talks about climate change.
