There are a number of key Icelandic Festivals leading up to Christmas, and there will be a series of posts in November and December which focus on those days and in particular the "Yule lads" who appear in the days leading up to the festive period and each have their own characteristics, as well as bringing presents.
Snow has already fallen in many part of Iceland.
