Jul 25: Harpa

One of the most impressive buildings in Reykjavik is HARPA.
This is a cultural venue and was designed by the architecture firm Henning Larsen Architects in co-operation with Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson
It's construction coincided with the financial crash of 2008 and it was completed as part of Iceland's plans for growth.

The glass wall and other elements of the design are based on the basaltic landscape of Iceland.

It is lit up at night and makes a fabulous object to photograph.
