I blogged earlier about just how much Icelanders love their swimming pools and hot bathing / open air pools.
Pools have been closed but were able to reopen yesterday, and they did from 1 minute past midnight... and there were long queues outside them. A sign of just how much this aspect of Icelandic culture means to people who have had two months without them.
And remember, if you do go into a pool in Iceland you need to get naked and wash various parts of your body, which is just common sense.
