Feb 29: An A-Ö of Iceland - your suggestions welcome

Welcome to 'Leap Day'.

An extra day on the blog for this year...

From March 1st and for 32 days after that, with a slight variation around the end of March and beginning of April, for reasons which will become apparent, I'm going to be posting an A-Z (except it doesn't include Z) of Iceland. One entry for each letter.

The Icelandic alphabet is called 'Islenska stafrófið'

More details tomorrow.

This is an existing document which has taken a similar approach, and uses Icelandic language to introduce some ideas on key aspects of Icelandic life.

Download the brochure in lots of different languages in PDF format to see where the Inspired by Iceland folks reckon you should go.

If you want to make your head spin with the sounds of these letters, and other words, check out this video made for young children... and those who want to learn the language...

If you have suggestions for a topic for a particular letter of the alphabet then please get in touch.
