Last year I helped update a resource on the Better World Detectives site which explored some of the impacts of tourism in Iceland. The resource is free to download, and part of a suite of materials which has been funded by the travel firm TUI for both Primary and Secondary educators.
Follow the Secondary link, and you can download the Iceland pack which is designed for Year 7-9 students, although it could equally feed into some planning for younger students, or for GCSE case studies in this area.
The theme is Overtourism.
The pack is in five parts.
There are a few updates that would probably be needed again, and a few typos which jumped out at me, but a useful resources for those introducing tourism impacts. This is a topic included in several GCSE specifications, and also covered at KS3 in some schools.
